Do you know me?

Do you know me? is a photo-installation that is still being developed.

The installation is inspired by a verse from Psalm 139: “He knows my thoughts from afar”, and a sentence I asked people: “What question should people ask you, so that you feel that they are really interested in who you are?

Reactions to this question were collected in images. I made objects of epoxy, drawings with ink and photo’s from myself and in nature. Gold leave, white jarn are symbols of purity, essence. Also the objects were photographed. I digitally added words and phrases from the reactions in the images and printed them professionally.

In the project I placed the 16 prints around a stand and large prints of 2 of them on satin. The small objects of epoxy were placed around the stand.

In the future I hope to develop the project even more. Like professionally prints of some images on dibond.
