Carried drawings

These drawings are inspired by the conceptual project Carried, on an other page on this website. I explored the concept of being carried, together with the concept of a bed of nails. Can you feel safe when the thing that carries you is not nurturing?

I feel that there is always the greater force that carries you, that is in my believe God. But sometimes the circumstances can be so challenging that one can’t feel safe in human terms.
In these drawings there is safety.
