About the truth

In this project I explored the theme About the truth. Truth is a fluid concept, where people have different points of view. I asked questions and at the same time there are anchors in my life, like my faith.

The basis are photo’s of branches. I see foundations, growth, movement, purpose, wonder. I edited the photo’s and placed layers of drawings and paintings over them digitally. Sometimes I painted over the photo’s and continued to layer them digitally.

2 May 2026:
I organized a workshop *Art-Based Learning*
in the gallery, with my exhibition.
A lovely morning, with 5 artists
as participants.

Fall 2025:
Preparations for the exhibition in 2026.
We discuss the arrangement of the exhibition
in the gallery. Simone send me a map of the
gallery to make a virtual arrangement.
I will start ordering prints in late fall 2025.

March 2026:
Preparations for the exhibition in April/May:
Discussing with Simone how we could hang
this semi transparent wall hanging
a bit off the wall. A visiter,
also and artist, helped with
showing the artwork in its place

In the crib:
6 professionally prints of the project,
protected in cellophane

WITH THE PAINTERS

First presentation of the project was at the artist day of artist group The Painters. I showed a number of small prints on Forex and some on an acrylic glass block. I also brought some of the original drawings and paintings, that I digitally layered over the photo’s of the branches

A GIFT FOR MY BROTHER

For the 60est birthday of my eldest brother, I let him choose between 4 artworks of acrylic blocks. It took him some time. He finally choose one. He loved the project and is happy with the artwork!

WITH A POEM

I wrote a poet with one of the artworks.
It was published in the news letter of my publisher.
Next, she invited me to write a book of poetry.
It will be published in 2026,
and it will be in Dutch
