PREPARATIONS FOR AN EXHIBITION

I plan to exhibit in the spring of 2026, in art gallery
De Kleine Toonzaal in Huizen.

The gallery owner and I started the preparations, and looked into the arrangement of my art in the gallery.

The artworks are digital blendings of photography with drawings/paintings, and will be printed on different materials and in different sizes.

SMALL ASSIGNMENT

I am involved in shelter home Tolvrij in Huizen. As a regular guest, a workshop leader and an art curator for the art window.

Now they gave me a small assignment to make a presentation with a number of aspects of the shelter home, based on a sketch by the chairman.

And so I drew 16 images of what Tolvrij stands for, like hospitality, contact, workshops, prayer and lunch.

For an exhibition I developed a new artwork. I already made the image, a combination of a photo and an en plein air drawing in oil pastel, of the same pond, in the park near by my home. I blended the two images digitally and edited the new artwork further. For the exhibition it is printed on satin in ca 70 x 100 cm.

EN PLEIN AIR DRAWING AND PAINTING

The season of drawing and painting in the outdoors is happening.
I often draw and paint en plein air with my boyfriend, artist Stephan Ruigrok. Besides the spontaneous activities, we also plan to work in two small vacations together. First in a tiny home in nature, in Ermelo and later in Paris.

EXPLAINING VIDEO

For the traveling exhibition Heel de aarde,
by art collective ArsProDeo, I recorded a video to explain my artwork in the exhibition.

I was invited by the St. Jacobs Church in Vlissingen to tell something about my video PLACE, at the opening of the exhibition, but I couldn’t be there in real live. So I recorded a video.

During the service and opening, the video was shown, for the most part articulated by the reverend. 6 July 2025

NEW PROJECT:
YOU YOURSELF ARE THE SOUL OF MY PRAYERS

I started with a new project. Exploring a new theme, inspired by a song, art of Monet and Berlinde Bruyckere and by an assignment of an alumni day of the master arts education.

EXHIBITION FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Together with my boyfriend and art partner Stephan Ruigrok, we will exhibit our project Fruits of the Spirit in a space in church De Duif in Huizen. A small exhibition with 10 depictions of the project and a casual presentation of the process. The exhibition, with a small workshop, will be on two days. We will be there to interact with the audience.

During my exhibition in the Fontein Church in Amersfoort, 4 of my artworks were projected during several services in Holy Week 2025.
